Canada Day Arts & Crafts Ideas
Maple Leaf Roller Prints
Pre-cut many sizes
of maple leaves out of bristol board ahead of time. Allow kids to
choose
the sizes of leaves they would like to use. Put tape on the back of the
leaves and have the
kids stick the leaves wherever they choose on a piece of RED construction
paper. Then they
use a roller brush with WHITE paint to roll covering all their leaves.
When done peel off the taped
on leaves and there will be beautiful red leaf prints left. While doing
this activity, explain to
the kids that red and white are the colors of our flag and that there is a
maple leaf on it.

Make miniature Canadian flags.

Let the children glue red maple leaf cutouts onto a
white piece of paper to make a Canada Day Collage.
