Butterfly Recipe Ideas
Crunchy Caterpillar
Wash and peel some carrots;
then slice them into rounds. Place carrot
rounds and chow mein noodles in
separate bowls. Use green food coloring to tint
some mild vegetable
dip. Fill a squirt bottle with green dip. Give each child 4
carrot
rounds. Child adds the carrot rounds in a row on his/her plate and
adds two chow mein noodles on top
of first carrot round as antennas.
Let the child squirt green veggie dip below the carrot caterpillar for
grass.
Sipping Nectar
Cut out flower shapes from
construction paper that will cover paper cups.
Fill paper cups with fruit
juice, insert a straw into the middle of
the paper flowers and let
children drink “nector” from the flowers.
Fruit Nectar Float
Orange juice
Lemon lime soda
Scoop of orange sherbet
Very Hungry Caterpillar Fruit Salad
Ingredients Needed:
1 Apple
2 Pears
3 Plums
4 Strawberries
5 Oranges
Bunch of Mint Leaves
Directions:
Peel, pare, seed, hull and section each fruit. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
Then put
them all together in a big bowl and chill. Garnish each serving with a
sprig of mint.
Serve to a small group of friends, after reading a good book.
You’ll enjoy every bit of it.
Butterfly Cake
Make 8 inch round cake
and cut in 2. Each half will make 1 wing. Use
Twinkie in the center for the body. Frost and decorate with assorted
candies.
Caterpillar Snacks
On bed of lettuce,
arrange melon balls...use whole cloves for eyes...
