Body Game Ideas
Guess Which Hand
Reinforce the concept of left and right with these hand mats.
For each child, glue different
colored left and right hand shapes onto a piece of construction paper.
Laminate the mats and
then put them to use. Give each child a snack sized bag of Skittles
or M&Ms candies.
Promote listening and following directions by giving commands such as
"Find a green Skittles/M&M
candy and put it on the left hand" or "Put more Skittles/M&Ms on
the right hand and fewer on the left."
Where Is My???
Play a game where the children name different body parts. Ask the
children,
"Where is my!!!?" as you point to a body part and have the
children call it out.
Body Bowling
Have your children line up in a row... shoulder
to shoulder.
Choose one child to be the bowler. Let the others be bowling
pins and ask them to stand straight and tall.
Have the bowler stand several feet away from the bowling pins and
roll a large, soft ball toward them.
If the ball touches any of the bowling pins, have them fall to the
ground. After the bowling pins stand to
"reset," start another round of the game with a new bowler.
