Sand Stepping
                  Prepare a tray of
tempera paint mixed with sand and dish washing soap.
                  Place
the paint at one end of bulletin board paper; then place a dishpan

                  of water
and an old towel at the other end of paper. Have each
                      child take
turns stepping in paint and walking across
                      bulletin board paper. Have
them rinse feet and dry them. Label each
child's foot prints with their name.
Paint glue on the areas of the paper surrounding the footprints; then sprinkle
 sand over the
glue.  Once this is dry, hang on bulletin board for
                      all to see!

      Beach Balls
      Bulletin Board Displays

Set up a small round baby pool.  Cut white
bulletin board paper into a class supply
of circles sized to fit the bottom of your pool.  To try this jumbo
      painting experience,
a child puts on an art smock and picks up a beach ball.  Using either
      squeeze
bottles or paintbrushes dipped in washable paint, he puts some paint on
      the ball.
Then he places the ball in the pool.  With the help of an adult
      helper, he moves
the ball around by gently tilting and moving the pool.  Remove the
      paper and lay
it flat to dry.  When everyone has done some beach ball painting,
      you'll have
a collection of colorful beach balls do display throughout your classroom.
